Path to Jobs provides job training and job placement services for unemployed/underemployed New Yorkers looking for economic opportunity and a chance to give back.

We prepare people for entry-level jobs in hospitals, clinics, health centers, and community organizations in roles such as Health Coach, Peer Navigator, Community Health Worker, and Harm Reduction Specialist.

Path to Jobs creates economic opportunity for New Yorkers who are:

  • Unemployed/underemployed and want to get back to part-time or full-time work

  • Motivated to contribute to their community

  • Interested in helping other people reach their health goals

We welcome, and are experienced in working with, people who are:

  • Living with chronic health conditions

  • Formerly incarcerated or system-involved

  • In recovery from substance use

  • Living with mental health challenges

Our Services

Our package of services sets you up for success every step of the way. When you join Path to Jobs, you’ll receive:

Career Readiness Training

Workshops on health-related job skills (such as patient confidentiality and health literacy) and career-development skills like resume-writing, digital literacy, and time-management.

Job Search, Placement, and Retention

After you successfully complete our career readiness program, we will match you with job opportunities and help you prep for job applications and interviews. Once you’re hired, we’ll provide continued support to help you succeed in your new job.

Peer Certification Support

New York State offers official certification for health-related jobs that can give you an edge in the job market. We provide expert assistance with the certification process.

Benefits Counseling

Guidance on how employment can affect public entitlements and benefits, so you can make informed financial decision.

Personalized Support

One-to-one coaching to help you get and keep a job.
