Path to Jobs Hosts Workforce Readiness Series
In March 2026, Path to Jobs hosted a series of Workforce Readiness events.
The first event was a LinkedIn Training, held on March 3rd. At this training, people were taught everything needed to create a professional and credible online presence. People were given a step-by-step demo with personalized support, resume feedback, and a professional headshot to use on their profile!
Our second event was a successful Peer Training Panel on March 10th, with people from various Peer certifications, including:
Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA)
Certified Peer (AIDS Institute) and track specializations
Alliance for Positive Change’s Foundational Peer Training: Peer Recovery Education Program (PREP)
Peer Specialist
Community Health Worker (CHW)
The panelists shared practical information and tips to help people navigate the various Peer Training options, and shed light on what it is like to do this type of work!
The final event was a Resource/Job Fair, held on March 18th. Several of our community partners, including Iris House, Bridging Access to Care, Alliance for Positive Change, and CUNY, came to share resources and job openings within their organizations. Many people came to network and learn about the community, and several left with job descriptions and practical advice for future employment.
The workforce readiness series was a great community-building success—and we hope to see you at a future event!
