Path to Jobs x Alliance for Positive Change Job Fair

On March 7, Path to Jobs held its first job fair in collaboration with our employer-partner (and founding organization) Alliance for Positive Change! With weeks of prep, which included one-on-one resume writing and personalized practice interviews, our job-seekers were well prepared for the on-site interviews.

Of the nearly 20 participants who attended, seven received offer letters to begin working as paid Peer Workers, doing everything from community health promotion outreach to facilitating HIV risk reduction support groups. 

One of our successful job seekers, Adam, told us, “Path to Jobs helped me get the internship I need to achieve the next steps in the field of recovery support. They gave me a chance, helped me get my certifications, and referred me to computer classes. Now I'll be able to use my experiences to help other people, like Path to Jobs helped me. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without them.”

We look forward to hosting more job fairs with our other employment partners in the near future. In the meantime, we continue to provide personalized career-readiness services, support, and opportunities for job seekers across New York City and the Capital region!
